This class unites two powerful ways to relax; Yin Yoga + Yoga Nidra with an analogue spin. The needle will drop and we will work out the “issues in their tissues” while grooving to soul music by artists like Sam Cook, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin. This portion is devoted to Yin Yoga, a slow paced style of practice, beneficial for releasing tension in the connective tissues, while improving flexibility and a deep connection to the breath. As the body settles into stillness, participants will experience a Yoga Nidra practice. This unique style of guided meditation is often translated as 'yogic sleep.' Some say 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of restful sleep. Jenelle will further enhance the soundscape of this experience with crystal and tibetan meditation bowls. Suitable for all skill levels. Wear comfortable clothing. Consider bringing a blanket or warm sweater.
